President Meets with Greek Prime Minister
ATHENS, April 23, 2007, (WAFA)- President Mahmoud Abbas met Monday, in Athens, with Greek Prime Minister Mr. Costas Karamanlis.
President briefed Mr. Karamanlis on the situations in the Palestinian Territory, stressing the necessity to lift siege imposed on the Palestinian people.
During the meeting, President affirmed the necessity to revive a meaningful peace process that leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within 1967 borders, especially after Riyadh Summit has reactivated the Arab peace initiative launched in 2000 in Beirut.
