Yemen Welcomes Mecca Agreement
SANA'A, February 10, 2007 (WAFA) - The government of Yemen welcomed Saturday the agreement reached by Fateh and Hamas in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, last Thursday over forming a national unity government.
The agreement is a significant agreement, Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Abu Baker al-Qirbi said.
He said that the agreement would enhance Palestinians struggle and national unity.
"The agreement would protect the fair right of Palestinian people to establish their own independent state and avoid Palestinian-Palestinian conflict, he said."
