Israeli Authorities Continue Demolishing Houses in Negev
BER SHEVA, January 8, 2007 (WAFA)-The Regional Council for the Non-recognized Villages in Negev(RCUV) reported that the Israeli authorities continue demolishing houses and seizing Arab land in Negev, south of Israel, Arab local sources (in Israel) said.
In a statement, RUCUV said that the Israeli Knesset two interior committees in its visit to the Arab area in Negev did nothing for stopping the Israeli policy of demolishing against the Arab houses, but work for gathering support for forthcoming elections.
Since 1948, the Israeli Authorities refused to deliver building permission for thousands of Israeli Arab (Palestinian) families in Negev and banned essential services especially sewage, water and electricity. Meanwhile, they allow the Israeli Jews to construct buildings and establishments on the Arab seized land.
