RAMALLAH, Friday, May 8, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is warm to relatively hot and dry in daytime and partially cloudy and mild to slightly cold in nighttime with a rise in temperature which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate southeasterly wind blow in daytime, and northwesterly wind blow in nighttime. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 17°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 28°C and a low of 16°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 22°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to plummet and approach 5°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to relatively cold to cold and rainy conditions. Sporadic rainfall, which could be torrential, is set to fall on some districts, along with possible thunderstorms.

Sunday’s temperature is set to slightly rise and approach 3°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to partially cloudy and relatively cold conditions, particularly in the early morning and night hours in mountainous districts, and mild conditions in other districts.

A significant rise is expected in temperature on Monday, paving the way to mainly mild conditions in mountainous districts and relatively warm conditions in other districts in daytime. Slightly to relatively cold conditions are expected in nighttime.

PMD warns people against sharp temperature drop, gusty wind which could reach 60 km/h, and low horizontal visibility on Saturday.
