Weather: Significant rise in temperature, but remain below average

 

RAMALLAH, Thursday, May 7, 2020 (WAFA) – Spring conditions return today with a significant rise in temperature, which nevertheless remains below the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 21°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 16°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 14°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Another significant rise in temperature is expected on Friday to become above the annual average.

However, temperature drops again significantly on Saturday to become 5°C below the season’s average. Scattered rain is expected on some areas.

Temperature rises again on Sunday but remains 3°C below the average, said the PMD.
