Second batch of Palestinians stuck in Jordan begin their return to their West Bank homes

JERICHO, Monday, May 4, 2020 (WAFA) – The second batch of Palestinians who were stuck in Jordan are expected to return to their West Bank homes today after Jordan has opened al-Karama/King Hussein/Allenby bridge crossing specially for their return, according to Nazmi Muhanna, director of the crossings in the Palestinian Authority.

He said in a statement that while 350 Palestinians returned home yesterday, it is expected that around 500 will return today and more in the coming couple of days before all those stuck in Jordan due to the coronavirus outbreak are able to come home.

Arrivals get checked at the crossing to make sure they are not infected with the coronavirus disease and are then ordered to stay in the homes for 14 days as an extra precaution.
