RAMALLAH, Monday, May 4, 2020 (WAFA) – Spring weather conditions are expected today with no change in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Light to moderate, southwesterly to northwesterly winds and low to medium sea waves are expected.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 13°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 24°C and a low of 13°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 19°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 17°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A significant drop in temperature is expected tomorrow to become 6°C below the annual average during the night as a low cold front affect the region bringing with it scattered rain and thunderstorms at night, said the PMD.
Temperature drops further on Wednesday approaching 8°C below the annual average. Rain is expected on most areas until the afternoon hours.
Spring conditions return on Thursday with a significant rise in temperature, which nevertheless remains below the annual average, said the PMD.
People are warned on Tuesday and Wednesday of floods in valley and low areas, high winds that could reach 60 kilometers per hour, slippery roads and the low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog and low clouds.
