RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 2, 2020 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Mai Alkaila confirmed today three more cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Jerusalem, which brings up the total number of confirmed cases in the Palestine to 520.
Speaking during the daily briefing on the coronavirus pandemic in Ramallah, Alkaila said the three cases were in the occupied Jerusalem neighborhoods of Beit Hanina, Wadi al-Jouz, and the Old City.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Palestine, the total number of active cases has reached 413, with 63 percent of the patients residing in Jerusalem Governorate.
Alkaila added that there were a total of 103 recoveries, including 44 in Jerusalem representing 42 percent of the total recoveries in Palestine.
She said 33,800 coronavirus tests have been conducted by the ministry since the outbreak of the pandemic in Palestine, and that 14,840 people are currently under home quarantine.
