RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 30, 2020 (WAFA) – New corona cases in the West Bank and Jerusalem as well as President Mahmoud Abbas cancelling two decrees only one day after issuing them were highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam highlighted the six new corona cases, one in the West Bank and five in East Jerusalem.
Al-Ayyam also highlighted rise in the number of deaths among diaspora Palestinians and put the number at 62.
Al-Quds, meanwhile, reported on the corona pandemic around the world and their numbers.
It also said that Israel is going to allow Palestinian workers in the West Bank to return to their jobs in construction, agriculture and manufacturing inside Israel.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida focused its main front-page headline on President Abbas annulling his two decrees on retirement that caused a big uproar.
It also highlighted Fatah statement on relations with Saudi Arabia in which it stressed the importance of this relationship.
Al-Ayyam said that the new commissioner general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has started work from his Jerusalem office.
It also said that Palestinians stranded in Jordan following the closure of the borders due to the coronavirus outbreak will start on Sunday to return home in batches.
Al-Quds reported on the Israeli measures against the Palestinians.
