RAMALLAH, Friday, April 24, 2020 (WAFA) – Four new coronavirus cases were confirmed today in the West Bank, raising total in Palestine to 484 cases, according to Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said during the daily briefing in Ramallah on the coronavirus pandemic that the four new cases were reported in the West Bank governorates of Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem. The cases include a male nurse working at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem, where he contracted the disease, and two children, both aged 12.
Alkaila added that 11 patients have recovered in the West Bank raising the total in the Palestinian territories in general to 103, including 18 in occupied Jerusalem.
She said that all the patients at the coronavirus centers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are in good health and no one is currently in ICU.
The health minister said 75 percent of the cases in the West Bank are workers in Israel and people who interacted with them and were infected.
Alkaila added that 12,880 suspected cases are in home quarantine while 246 are in coronavirus quarantine centers in the West Bank and Gaza and 181 in East Jerusalem.
