Weather forecast: Hot daytime conditions, night isolated showers

 

RAMALLAH, Friday, April 24, 2020 (WAFA) – Weather today is dry, relatively dusty and relatively hot in mountainous districts and hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime as temperature rise and approach 4°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

 Temperature is set to plummet in the evening and nighttime, paving the way to partially cloudy and cold conditions in mountainous districts. A slight chance of scattered light rain is expected on some districts.

Light to moderate southwesterly to southeasterly wind blows in daytime with occasional gusts, and becomes northeasterly to northwesterly in nighttime.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 12°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 24°C and a low of 11°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 19°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 18°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A relatively cold pressure is set to affect the region on Saturday, causing temperature to significantly drop and approach 6°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to partially cloudy to cloudy and cold conditions, particularly in mountainous districts. Scattered rainfall is expected on some districts.

Sunday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 3°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy and slightly to relatively cold conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in nighttime.

A further rise is expected in Sunday’s temperature which becomes seasonal, paving the way to partly cloudy and mild conditions in mountainous districts and relatively hot to hot conditions in other districts.
