RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 23. 2020 (WAFA) – An increase was recorded in March in Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI), today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
CCI for residential buildings increased by 0.53% in the West Bank during March compared with February due to increase in labor costs and wages by 1.17%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.30%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.90%.
CCI for non-residential buildings increased by 0.54% due to increase in labor costs and wages by 1.17%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.33%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.94%.
CCI for skeleton buildings also increased by 0.57% due to increase in labor costs and wages by 1.05%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.45%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.91%.
The overall RCI increased by 0.42% in the West Bank during March compared with February due to increase in rental of equipment by 0.75%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.72%, while labor costs and wages decreased by 1.52%, and operating costs of equipment and maintenance also decreased by 0.05%.
The overall WNCI increased by 0.23% in the West Bank during March compared with February; WNCI increased by 0.24%, and Water Reservoirs Cost Index increased by 0.20%.
The overall SNCI increased by 0.29% in the West Bank during March compared with February, said the PCBS.
