Weather: Significant drop in temperature today, which rises again tomorrow, first day of Ramadan

 

RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 23, 2020 (WAFA) – Temperature is expected to drop significantly today to become around the annual average, but rises again tomorrow, the first day of the holy Muslim fast month of Ramadan, to become 4°C above the average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Active, strong and dusty southwesterly to westerly winds are expected today and sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 13°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 20°C and a low of 12°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 19°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 17°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A significant drop in temperature is expected on Saturday to become 6°C below the annual average with scattered rain expected on most areas and high winds and sea waves.

A rise in temperature is expected for Sunday, but remains below the annual average by 4°C, and slight chance of light rain in the morning, said the PMD.
