Two diaspora Palestinians die of corona; first case confirmed in Palestinian camp in Lebanon

 

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 22, 2020 (WAFA) – Two diaspora Palestinians have died today of coronavirus, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and the first case of coronavirus was reported in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon.

A 76-year-old Palestinian died in Sweden, making him the first death among the Palestinian community in that European country, said the foreign ministry.

Another member of the Palestinian community in Saudi Arabia has died of the disease, it said, also making him the first death among the Palestinians in the kingdom.

In Lebanon, Palestinian factions said a woman living in al-Jaleel (the Galilee) Palestinian refugee camp, near the city of Baalbak, was diagnosed with the coronavirus disease, making her the first corona case in Lebanon’s Palestinian refugee camps.
