Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes arrival of Chinese coronavirus medical supplies

 

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, April 14, 2020 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today welcomed the arrival of the shipment of medical supplies donated by China to Palestine to curb the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus.

The Ministry expressed in a statement its gratitude to the Chinese online shopping platform, Alibaba, for this donation, and confirmed that the medical supplies were handed over to the Ministry of Health.

It noted that this donation was made in response to the request of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Riyad al-Malki and in coordination with the Palestinian embassy in China.

It stressed its ongoing efforts to secure Palestine’s full needs of medical supplies, and pointed out that al-Malki was in contact with his counterparts worldwide asking for help.

It also noted that the Palestinian embassy in Turkey has signed an agreement with the Turkish government stipulating that Turkey will provide aid that would cover Palestine’s various needs, and this aid will arrive in the few coming days.
