RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 12, 2020 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas made today a phone call with Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, where the two leaders discussed the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

President Abbas expressed his best wishes for the Sultan and the people of Oman, saying he was confident that the sultanate will overcome the pandemic.

Sultan of Oman thanked President Abbas for his call and wished him a good health, and wished the Palestinian people continuous progress to achieve their hopes and aspirations for freedom and independence.

The Sultan affirmed the strong brotherly relations between Palestine and the sultanate, and his country‘s firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause.
