JENIN, Saturday, April 11, 2020 (WAFA) – Four Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, some serving multiple life terms for resisting the Israeli occupation, have completed 18 years behind bars, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) and other sources.
The head of the northern West Bank PPS Jenin office, Muntaser Samoor, told WAFA that Ali Saadi, 57, from Jenin refugee camp, who is serving five life terms plus 40 years, and Yaser Rahhal, 38, from the Jenin district town of Silat al-Dahr, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence have completed 18 years in Israeli jails. Both were arrested in 2002.
Sources also said Thabet Mirdawi, 43, sentenced to 21 life terms plus 40 years, and Alaa Eddin Freihat, 44, serving a life sentence, both from Jenin, have also completed 18 years behind Israeli bars.
