RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 9, 2020 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received today a phone call from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and discussed with him the ongoing efforts to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Emir of Qatar conveyed to President Abbas his wishes of an imminent end to the current global crisis created by the novel disease, which has also affected Palestine during the past few weeks.
President Abbas expressed appreciation for the Qatari Emir and for the entire people of Qatar for their support of the Palestinian people, and wished them as well an end to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
