JERUSALEM, Sunday, June 21, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces last night and today detained at least 14 Palestinians during raids in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to local sources.
In Jerusalem, Israeli police forces raided the neighborhood of al-Isawiya and detained nine Palestinians after raiding their homes, including a 14-year-old teenager identified as Hasan Yaser Darwish.
The police also summoned two local Palestinians to appear for questioning.
Meanwhile, Israeli army raided the villages of Al-Mazra‘a al-Qibliya and Dura al-Qar‘, in the district of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, where they detained at least two local Palestinian citizens.
In Hebron district, south of the West Bank, forces raided the towns of Beit Ummar and Yatta, where they detained three Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes.
Almost on a daily basis and typically at nighttime, Israeli occupation forces raid towns and villages in the occupied West Bank to carry out arrests or summon civilians for questioning. This has been part of the daily life under Israeli military regime for decades.
Palestinians living under the Israeli military occupation have been accustomed to Israeli soldiers storming their homes in middle of the night and while everyone is asleep.
