BETHLEHEM, Wednesday, 13 November 2019 (WAFA) – An Italian tourist was injured today in the shoulder when hit by a teargas canister fired by Israeli soldiers, while others suffered from suffocation, during clashes that erupted between Palestinians and the soldiers in the occupied southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Bethlehem Red Crescent official, Abdul Halim Jaafra, said his crews provided casualties with first aid, including the Italian tourist whose injury was reported to be moderate after she was hit with a teargas canister in the shoulder.
Meanwhile, Mohammad al-Aqra, head of Bethlehem’s Civil Defense, said that a four-story building was evacuated from its residents after Israeli forces fired teargas bombs inside it causing serious suffocation cases.
Clashes erupted following a march for students against Israel’s aggression on the Gaza Strip.
