QALQILYA, September 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, at midnight, while continuing raids in the city of Qalqilya that began yesterday. The operations involved home raids, arrests, assaults, and the firing of sound bombs, tear gas, and live ammunition.
Local sources reported that approximately 15 military vehicles, accompanied by more than 30 soldiers, entered Azzun through its main northern entrance. They raided homes in the Eastern Neighborhood, Al-Mansour Neighborhood, Khallat al-Darba, and the Cemetery Neighborhood, as well as homes in the Shamiya Neighborhood, Khallat al-Tina, and Al-Ghanawi Neighborhood.
The sources added that occupation forces severely beat a resident, Ma’an Radwan, inside his home after raiding it, while converting the home of resident Ayman al-Mansour—located in the Al-Mansour Neighborhood—into a military barracks and holding several detainees there.
According to the sources, occupation forces arrested a number of citizens during the raid on the town, including: Karim Azzam Khalif; Muhammad Radwan and his son Walid; Osama Adnan Shabita; Muhammad Tabib; Muhammad al-Qatish; Muhammad Ashraf Salim; Mahmoud al-Ghanawi; Ashraf Ma’mun; Muhammad Tahir Salim; Mustafa Hassan Salama; Ismail al-Bam; and Bara’a Shaher Hussein.
Forces also raided and searched the homes of Bassam Shallu, Bilal Hanoun, Hassan Salama, and Muhammad Shabita, ransacking their contents, while firing sound bombs and tear gas toward citizens' homes within the town. In the city of Qalqilya, occupation forces have continued their incursion since yesterday evening. At midnight, they deployed military reinforcements to several areas and neighborhoods, spreading into the Nazzal and Kafr Saba neighborhoods, the Al-Wad Street area, and the Al-Tabbal neighborhood—which has been under siege since yesterday evening.
Occupation forces raided several homes, including the residence of the family of prisoner Majed Nazzal in the Nazzal neighborhood.
The forces had entered the city via its southern entrance and deployed along Al-Wad Street near the Al-Tabbal neighborhood; they raided a commercial shop and a tract of agricultural land, detaining a number of young men and subjecting them to field interrogations.
They also imposed a military cordon around the area and fired sound grenades, tear gas, and live ammunition. According to local sources, this resulted in citizens being shot, including a 14-year-old boy.
Separately, the Directorate of Education announced that classes at private schools and kindergartens in the city of Qalqilya and the town of Azzun would begin at 9:00 a.m., due to the ongoing occupation force incursions that lasted until the late morning hours.
