RAMALLAH, September 24, 2026 (WAFA) – A report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on the Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank during August, 08/2026 has shown an increase in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank reached 120.76 with an increase of 0.14% during August 2026 compared with July 2026 (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.87%, and the prices of raw material increased by 0.17%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during August 2026 compared with the previous month.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 119.54 with an increase of 0.12% during August 2026 compared with July 2026 (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.74%, and the prices of raw material increased by 0.16%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during August 2026 compared with the previous month.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* reached 118.50 with an increase of 0.12% during August 2026 compared with July 2026 (Base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.86%, and the prices of raw material increased by 0.14%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during August 2026 compared with the previous month.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 125.65 with an increase of 0.74% during August 2026 compared with July 2026 (Base month December 2008=100).At the level of major groups, the prices of operating costs of equipment and maintenance increased by 10.04%, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.81%, and the prices of raw material increased by 0.47%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during August 2026 compared with the previous month.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank* reached 132.12 with a decrease of 0.24% during August 2026 compared with July 2026 (Base month January 2010=100).
Water Networks Cost Index reached 139.28 with a decrease of 0.41% during August 2026 compared with July 2026. While, Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 116.37 with an increase of 0.20% during August 2026 compared with July 2026.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* reached 119.96 with an increase of 0.21% during August 2026 compared with July 2026 (Base month January 2010=100).
