RAMALLAH, September 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces uprooted more than 400 olive trees today, Thursday, in the town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah.

Local sources told WAFA that occupation bulldozers razed approximately 31 dunams of privately owned land in the town and uprooted over 400 olive trees.

The uprooting of the trees follows the issuance of a military order by occupation authorities two days ago targeting two areas of land in Beit Rima—totaling 31 dunams—mandating the removal of wild vegetation and the uprooting of olive and other trees.

Since the beginning of the year, occupation authorities have increasingly issued orders to remove trees and vegetation across the West Bank; by September 22, they had issued 51 such orders affecting approximately 2,093 dunams of land, according to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.

These attacks coincide with the approaching olive harvest season, a vital source of income for thousands of Palestinian families; the razing and uprooting operations inflict direct financial losses on farmers and threaten their ability to access and cultivate their land.
