Land in the south of the West Bank leveled, trees uprooted

HEBRON, Monday, October 22, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli military razed on Monday 14 dunums of privately-owned Palestinian land in the towns of Tarqoumia and Beit Kahel in the south of the West Bank and destroyed two water wells, according to Ali Fatafta, one of the land owners.

He told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the land that belongs to him and to other members of his extended in Tarqoumia and another family in Beit Kahel, razed it and uprooted 320 olive and almond trees without any prior notice.

He said the army prevented the landowners and others to reach their land, which they cultivate every year and live off its crops.
