Vice President and Moroccan Foreign Minister review regional developments

 

RAMALLAH, September 13, 2026 (WAFA) – Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein Al-Sheikh held a phone call today with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita to review the latest regional developments and the situation in Palestine.

The two officials discussed the United Nations General Assembly meetings scheduled for later this month and the need to coordinate Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic positions to address the challenges facing the region.

The Moroccan Foreign Minister reaffirmed the steadfast position of King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan government, and the Moroccan people regarding the Palestinian issue.

He expressed support for the Palestinian people in their steadfastness and determination to remain on their land, and reaffirmed Morocco’s firm commitment that ending the occupation and establishing the State of Palestine constitute the foundation for lasting peace.
