RAMALLAH, Sunday, September 08, 2019 (WAFA) – Hunger-striking Palestinian detainee in Israeli jails Nasser Zaidan Jadaa, 31, has been suffering deteriorated health conditions following 33 days of hunger strike in protest of his arbitrary detention, without a charge or trial.
The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said Jadaa, who is incarcerated in a solitary cell which lacks the basic humanitarian requirements, has been suffering recurrent dizziness, fainting and vomiting.
Jadaa started a hunger strike on August 4 shortly after he was placed under administrative detention, a procedure which allows the detention of Palestinian prisoners for renewable periods of time based on “secret evidence” and not clear charges.
He was detained three times in the past by Israeli occupation authorities.
