RAMALLAH, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy and warm in most districts, except for mountainous districts where it is mild, in daytime and relatively cold in nighttime, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Temperature is set to significantly rise. Winds are northeasterly to southeasterly and light in daytime before turning southwesterly in nighttime. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 13°C and in Ramallah, a high of 20°C and a low of 12°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 17°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

PMD expects Wednesday’s temperature to remain steady with mostly sunny and mild conditions in daytime. However, a drop of temperature along with partially cloudy conditions are expected in the evening and night hours, giving way to scattered rain showers with occasional thunderstorms on most districts.

Thursday’s temperature is set to significantly drop with mostly cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Scattered rain showers, which could be torrential, are expected on most districts during the day before getting weaker at night.

Friday’s weather is expected to remain partially cloudy and cold, but temperature is expected to rise. A chance of scattered rain showers is expected on some districts.

PMD warns people against floods in low areas and valleys, low visibility due to fog formation and slippery roads on Thursday.
