HEBRON, Monday, March 11, 2019 (WAFA) – Palestinian farmers in the south of the West Bank were denied access to agricultural roads after Israel blocked them with dirt, Rateb Jabour, member of the Popular Committees against the Wall and Settlements in the south of the West Bank, said today.
He said the Israeli army blocked agricultural roads connecting several villages in the Masafer Yatta region, considered Area C, which is under full Israeli military rule, to prevent local farmers, especially herders, and residents from using them and eventually leave the area.
Israel is trying to eliminate Palestinian presence in Area C, which makes up over 60 percent of the area of the occupied West Bank, as part of a scheme to later seize the land without its Palestinian population.
