RAMALLAH, Saturday, March 09, 2019 (WAFA) – The nationalist and Islamic forces in Ramallah called today on the public to rally in Manara Square in the city center on Sunday at noon local time in support of prisoners held by Israel and their demands to remove jamming devices the Israel Prison Service had placed in their cells and end other repressive measures.
The prisoners have complained that the jamming devices are causing them health problems, including the chance of having cancer, as well as disrupting their TV and radio reception.
The forces also called in their statement to gather outside the South African representative office in Ramallah on Monday at 1:00 pm local time to thank it for its support for Palestinian rights.
They also called for participating in the BDS conference in Ramallah next Saturday to show support for the movement’s mission in boycotting, divesting and sanctioning Israel.
