Campaign against Bir Oneh homes continue with two more receiving demolition orders

BEIT JALA, Thursday, March 07, 2019 (WAFA) – Israel’s campaign against Palestinian homes in Bir Oneh area, which was separated from Beit Jala town south of Jerusalem by Israel’s apartheid barrier, continued as more homeowners received demolition orders, according to a local activist.

Hasan Breijieh, who runs the Wall and Settlements Resistance office in Bethlehem, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers handed Ayman Zeina and his two sons, Mohammad and Saleh, demolition orders against their two-story homes under the pretext they were built without a permit and gave them until April 10 to evacuate them.

He said Israel had demolished other homes of the same family in that area in what appears to be an intentional attempt to get the entire family to leave it and move beyond the barrier into West Bank territory.

Another resident of Bir Oneh, Basema Issa, also received a demolition order against her two-story building, which is still under construction.
