BETHLEHEM, Thursday, March 07, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces delivered this morning demolition orders to four Palestinian greenhouses in Shushahla area of al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem.
Director of the Anti-Wall and Settlements Commission in Bethlehem, Hasan Breijieh, said that Israeli forces along with several staff members of the so-called Israeli Civil Administration stormed the area and delivered the demolition orders to the four greenhouses.
Mahmoud, Munther, Musa and Habbas Salah received orders notifying them that their structures would be demolished purportedly for being built without a license.
Breijieh pointed out that Israeli harassments against Shushahla area started in November 2018, when Israeli forces sealed the road leading to the area and ordered the Palestinian residents, who had renovated their greenhouses there, to evacuate it after 5:00 p.m.
The Shushahla area is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which accounts for over 60 percent of its area and falls under full Israeli military control.
Israel refuses to permit virtually any Palestinian construction in Area C, forcing residents to build without o permits to provide shelters and sources of income for their families.
