NABLUS, Thursday, March 07, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli bulldozers demolished early today a two-story Palestinian-owned house in the area of Al-Mas‘udiyya, in the village of Burqa, in the north of the occupied West Bank, according to Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the north of the West Bank.
He told WAFA that Israeli forces accompanied the bulldozers as they raided the area and proceeded to demolish the house under the pretext that it was built in an area classified as “C”, which is under full Israeli military control.
The said the house belonged to Musheer Saif, from Burqa, noting that he never received a notice of demolition from the Israeli authorities.
Area C, which constitutes about 60 percent of the West Bank, is under Israeli military rule. The Palestinians and the international community consider the area as the main land reserve for the future Palestinian state. Palestinians are not allowed to build in or develop that area.
