RAMALLAH, Monday, March 04, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained early today 26 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in a press release.
Israeli military police detained 11 Palestinians from the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Silwan and al-Essawiya.
Israeli military vehicles also raided Biddu and Beit Anan villages, northwest of Jerusalem, where soldiers detained four Palestinians.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces conducted several raids across the central West Bank district of Ramallah and al-Bireh, detaining eight Palestinians.
Among the detainees a Palestinian identified as Yousef Muhammad al-Deek, who was rounded up in Kufr Nimeh village, west of Ramallah, following the raid that resulted in the killing of two Palestinians.
PPS confirmed that two more were detained from the northern West Bank district of Jenin and another one from the Jericho district.
Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
