JERUSALEM, Sunday, March 02, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli intelligence last night summoned senior Fatah official in Jerusalem, Hatem Abdul-Qader, for questioning at the Moroccan Compound in occupied East Jerusalem.
Abdul-Qader told WAFA that intelligence officers raided his home in Beit Hanina neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem in middle of the night and handed him a notice to appear for questioning.
Abdul-Qader is also a member of the Islamic Awqaf Council, in charge of the Islamic holy places in the city.
Last week, Israeli police arrested more than 60 Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem over, many of them Fatah activists and Awqaf officials, against the backdrop of the reopening Bab al-Rahma building in Al-Aqsa Mosque for Muslim prayers. The building had been closed to Muslims for 16 years.
