RAMALLAH, Thursday, February 28, 2019 (WAFA) – Caretaker Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah held in his office in Ramallah today a meeting with representatives of the donor countries during which he briefed them on the implications of Israel’s decision to cut over $138 million from the Palestinian tax revenues among other topics.
He told them that as a result of the Israeli decision, President Mahmoud Abbas wrote his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron calling for a review of the Palestinian-Israeli Paris Economic Protocols in light of what he said were Israel’s grave violations of the terms of the protocols.
He said the international community should intervene to put an end to Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, their holy places in Jerusalem and Hebron and the daily Israeli incursions into the Palestinian-controlled cities, the last of which was yesterday in Ramallah, the de facto seat of the Palestinian Authority.
Hamdallah also briefed his guests on the reconstruction process in the Gaza Strip, economic development in light of Israeli obstructions, efforts to increase gross national product, reliance on national products, reducing Israeli imports and reducing unemployment rate by encouraging vocational education as per market demand.
