RAMALLAH, Sunday, February 24, 2019 (WAFA) – A further slight rise in temperature is expected for Sunday with partially cloudy to clear skies, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to northeasterly and light to moderate during the day turns northeasterly to southeasterly at night and cold. Sea waves remain low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 16°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 14°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature continues to rise on Monday and reached 8°C above annual average, said the PMD.

However, a noticeable drop in temperature is expected for Tuesday with strong wind and high waves. Weather is expected to be dusty and a chance of rainfall is likely for the day.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected for Wednesday together with another drop in temperature.

PMD warned people against floods in low areas and valleys, gusty winds, low visibility due to fog formation and slippery roads.
