RAMALLAH, Saturday, February 16, 2019 (WAFA) – The Palestinian presidency strongly condemned on Saturday the terrorist attack against an Egyptian army convoy in Sinai, which resulted in the killing and injury of 15 Egyptian troops earlier today.
In an official statement, the presidency expressed sincere condolences and solidarity with the Egyptian government and people and the families of the victims, while wishing quick recovery for the wounded.
“The leadership, headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, condemns in the strongest terms this ugly crime, which targeted a group of heroes of the Egyptian army,” the statement read.
“The people and leadership of Palestine stand alongside their brotherly people and leadership of Egypt, headed by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in their war against terror.”
