RAMALLAH, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is partially cloudy to clear and mild, except in mountainous districts where weather is relatively cold, in daytime and cold conditions in nighttime, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Temperature is set to rise and approach 4°C above the seasonal average. Wind is southeasterly to southwesterly, light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 16°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 11°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 11°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
PMD predicts a low pressure to affect the region on Thursday accompanied with a significant drop of temperature. Partially cloudy to cloudy and cold conditions are expected in daytime and very cold conditions in nighttime. Scattered rain showers are expected on some districts, especially the northern.
PMD expects Friday and Saturday’s weather to be is partially cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold. Rain showers along with thunderstorms are expected to fall on several districts, especially the northern. Rain is set to become more torrential and accompanied with hail in nighttime.
PMD warns people against floods in low areas and valleys, gusty winds, low visibility due to fog formation and slippery roads.
