Child, 5, passes out after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers at homes in West Bank village

 

RAMALLAH, Thursday, February 07, 2019 (WAFA) – A 5-year-old Palestinian child went unconscious on Wednesday night as a result of inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers at homes in al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

WAFA correspondent said soldiers raided the village during the night resulting in clashes with local youths. The soldiers fired tear gas at homes causing the child to pass out after inhaling the gas.

An ambulance was called to the house and helped revive the child, said the correspondent.

The soldiers returned to the village before dawn on Thursday, raided and ransacked the home of Firas Noubani, 40, a prisoner held in Israel, according to Noubani’s wife, Ola.

She said the soldiers ransacked their home and questioned her about her detained husband, who is expected to be released next months after spending 22 months in Israeli jails, his third detention making a total of 10 years he spent in Israeli prisons, and about her 16-year-old son, Khaled.
