Palestinian mother of eight killed on West Bank road when Israeli settlers stoned her car

NABLUS, Saturday, October 13, 2018 (WAFA) – A 48-year-old Palestinian mother of eight was killed late Friday night when Israeli settlers threw rocks at the car she was in with her husband on a northern West Bank road, according to Palestinian medical and security sources.

They said that Aisha Muhammad Rabi, from the town of Bidya in the north of the West Bank, was hit in the head by a stone thrown at the car she was in on a road south of Nablus. Her husband was moderately injured.

The woman was rushed to hospital in Nablus where she was pronounced dead.

Palestinians said Jewish settlers have been throwing rocks at Palestinian cars driving on the road in the north of the West Bank for the last few days while the Israeli army, which has intensified its presence in the area since the latest attacks on Israelis, did not attempt to stop them.

Several Palestinians reported their cars damaged from stones thrown by the settlers in the same area.

The army said it was investigating the incident.

Rabi, whose daughter, according to reports, was going to get married in two weeks, is expected to undergo an autopsy on Saturday and will be later buried in her hometown, Bidya, which declared a day of mourning.
