QALQILIA, September 28, 2025 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday evening that Mahmoud Hassan Akkad, a 24-year-old Palestinian, succumbed to his wounds after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near the village of Jit, east of Qalqilia in the occupied West Bank.
In a brief statement, the ministry said that the General Authority of Civil Affairs had informed it of Akkad’s death and that Israeli forces had taken away his body.
Earlier in the afternoon, Israeli forces had opened fire at Akkad near Jit, leaving him critically wounded before he later succumbed to his injuries.
