AMMAN, September 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed on Sunday San Marino’s official recognition of the State of Palestine.
In a statement, ministry spokesperson Fuad Al-Majali described the recognition as an important step that supports the international consensus calling for the end of Israeli occupation and upholds the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent, sovereign state based on a two-state solution.
Al-Majali noted that the decision aligns with ongoing international efforts to secure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of a sovereign state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
He reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to continue working with regional and international partners to support the Palestinian people’s rights to freedom, the end of occupation, and the establishment of their independent state.
