RAMALLAH, January 16, 2018 (WAFA) – An Israeli army unit raided early Tuesday a neighborhood in the center of Ramallah, the base of the Palestinian Authority, and searched and ransacked homes, according to a witness.
Zahran Hamed, a journalist, told WAFA that soldiers raided his building in Ein Minjid, south of Ramallah, blew up doors to several apartments and searched them leaving behind heavy damage.
The raid and search spread fear in the building, mainly among children and women, who were awaken in the pre-dawn hours at the sound of the explosions, he said.
Soldiers raided as well nearby buildings and ransacked several apartments.
Reason for the raid was not clear.
