Israeli occupation releases 8 detainees from Gaza

GAZA, June 4, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities released today eight detainees from the Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the released detainees were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, via the International Committee of the Red Cross, to undergo necessary medical examinations following prolonged detention.

From time to time, the occupation releases groups of detainees detained since the start of the ongoing genocide.

According to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), the prison system, according to testimonies from detainees, has left no means unutilized to strip detainees of their humanity and break them psychologically.

After 20 months of genocide, detention conditions have either remained unchanged or worsened, with the relentless passage of time deeply affecting the fate of detainees as this brutality persists without end.
