Israel orders halt on construction of mosque, room near Hebron

 

HEBRON, January 15, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces ordered a halt on the construction of a mosque, a room and solar cells near the town of Yatta, to the south of Hebron, according to local sources.

Rateb Jabour, coordinator of the Anti-Settlement Committee in Hebron, told WAFA that the Israeli army handed Mohammad Ali Jaber, a resident of Khallet ad-Dabi village near Yatta, a notice ordering him to stop the construction of a room and solar cells in his house.

Army also notified Palestinians in Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, to stop the construction of a mosque in the area.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers from nearby illegal settlements of Maon and Havat Maon installed barbed wires on a land belonging to Palestinians from the village of Tuwani, east of Yatta.
