BEIJING, December 6, 2017 (WAFA) –China warned on Wednesday of imminent escalation in the Middle East conflict if the US administration decides to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
“The issue of Jerusalem’s status is complicated and sensitive,” said Geng Shuang, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
“All sides should focus on regional peace and tranquility, act with caution, and avoid sabotaging the foundation for the settlement of the Palestinian issues and avoid creating new divisions in the region, Geng said during a press conference.
