NEW YORK, July 22, 2017 (WAFA) - Sweden, France and Egypt Saturday called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council amid escalating tensions in Jerusalem, said diplomats.
According to Agence-France Presse (AFP), Carl Skau, Sweden‘s ambassador to the UN, said that a meeting was called to "urgently discuss how calls for de-escalation in Jerusalem can be supported."
In New York, diplomats said the United Nations Security Council would meet to discuss the situation on Monday, said Reuters.
