Settlers, soldiers raid Beit Ummar, near Hebron, provoke clashes

HERBON, June 29, 2017 (WAFA) - Israeli settlers protected by soldiers Thursday raided Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, triggering clashes with residents, according to Muhammad Awad, a local activist.

Soldiers fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at residents’ homes and youths who protested the raid and attempted to block their entry causing fire to break out in the vicinity of a home.

They also fired live rounds, hitting and injuring a 15-year-old boy with a live bullet in the hand.

During the raid, soldiers detained three Palestinians, including a 17-year-old minor.
