RAMALLAH, June 29, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers raided early Thursday the Ramallah-area village of Deir Abu Mishal and arrested Hasan Ankoush, father of Adel Ankoush who was involved in an attack on Israeli police in Jerusalem three weeks ago, according to local sources.

Adel and two other young Palestinians from the Atta family in the same village stabbed and killed an Israeli policewoman before they were shot dead.

The army also raided the Atta family residence and ransacked their homes before leaving the village with Hasan Ankoush.

Hasan’s wife, Zeina, who was arrested in an earlier raid on the village, is expected to appear in court on Thursday after she was accused of not preventing her son from carrying out the attack.

The army sealed off the village for two weeks following the attack in a collective punishment step and is threatening to demolish the homes where the three attackers have lived.
