RAMALLAH, November 9, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained a total of 22 Palestinians, including a journalist, during overnight raids across the West Bank, the Palestine Prisoner’s Society said in a press statement on Wednesday.
Israeli forces ransacked many homes and detained 10 Palestinians, including several former detainees, during raids across the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
One of the detainees was identified as Nedal al-Natsheh, who works as a journalist.
During the raid into Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, forces stormed and seized several computers and equipment from a printing shop.
In Jerusalem, police detained six Palestinians after breaking into and ransacking their family homes.
This came as Israeli intelligence handed two Palestinians notices banning them from entering Jerusalem’s Old City for two weeks.
Fayez Abu Tayeh and his cousin, Khaled Abu Tayeh, were handed the notices after being summoned for interrogation by intelligence.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops raided Qabatiya, a town south of Jenin, and detained three Palestinians.
Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, troops detained a Palestinian during an overnight raid into the Nablus refugee camp of Balata.
Two other Palestinians were detained after their family homes were stormed during a raid into Jericho district.
